On August 13, 1983, ten-year-old Rebecca Torgerson went missing from her mobile home in Austin, Minnesota. Christmas eve of that year her body was found in a dumpster behind a Minneapolis discount store.
Rebecca’s mother and boyfriend were tracked down out-of-state, arrested and extradited to Minnesota. Both entered guilty pleas and were sentenced to life without parole.
Case closed? End of story?
